Paper Space & Party

I have said it before, I am obessed with paper.  A local scrapbooking store closed and were selling their fixtures, so I was able to purchase a 12 x 12 paper rack.  I am so excited, I can now see all my paper and have it (semi) organized.  It also shows me actually how much paper I really do have.  I think I'm good for a while (let's hope)

These are the candy bar wrappers I made for Gizmo's sweet 16 birthday party

X-mas Cards & Nephews Birthday

I have decided this year I am going to make my own X-mas cards.  Here are two I made today.  After all, X-mas is two months from today.  Any one want any?  Let me know.

Too Cute

So today I went to a craft fair and saw these adorable items.  They are party favors with a Hershey Nugget inside.  Some of you know I do party things as such, like putting pictures on Nuggets, make candy bar wrappers, invites, place cards, etc.

Just thought I would share in case anyone is interested in any.  They can be for any occasion, they are $1.

Last pic is of my niece, too cute!

THIS IS THE ONE I BOUGHT

This is the first one I came home and madek, then....

made these for Halloween
(bringing them to my mom's tomorrow for a birthday dinner for my nephew)

Happy, Merry...??%%&&...What????

Ok, been wanting to photograph this house in my neighboorhood for about a week now.  Either they are confused, don't want to take out the x-mas decorations when it's cold, have totally forgotten Thanksgiving or have jumped on the retail band wagon and are doing X-mas earlier and earlier. And again, where's the Turkey?

#5 wants to ring the doorbell on Halloween and sing Christmas Carols.

What do You Think?

So, as many of you know, I love to be creative. Mostly scrapbooking and other things, i.e. taking pictures (total amateur), making invitations and doing party “things”, photo DVD’s, candy bar wrappers, etc. I have done many things for family parties and did make an entire scrapbook for a friend.  Many of you have told me I should make a business out of it. My response is always ,”yeah, I’d love to but…..”

While in Hobby Lobby the other day (searching for my daily dose of inspiration), I met a woman that asked me my opinion on something. We started talking and I found out that she has her own business of invites, announcements, cards, and event and wedding planning. We talked for a while and I told her my story. She inspired me to try it myself. I don’t know how or when, but I want to try my hand (to start out) with doing scrapbook pages for anyone who just doesn’t like to do it, hasn’t the time or feel they are not creative enough. The woman I met said she has a friend who does pages for $10 a page. What do you think? I’d love to hear from any of you if you think this is a good idea and/or how to get started; if you or someone you know might be interested. All and any advice welcome.

Coffee Art

Stopped in a Border's Book store, picked out my books, and ordered my latte, and this is how the girl gave it to me.  Never had anyone do that before and it made me smile.  I just love it when it's the little things that make you smile and lift you up.  Of course the coffee at 6:00 pm will definitely lift and "keep" me up, but it was so worth it!!!! Yum!

"A" Homecoming

The reason this is titled "A" homecoming is because these are pics of #5 going to "A" homecoming, but not his own.  Instead this is his "friends" (G) homecoming.  She goes to another high school in our district.  This would be my babies first dance, outing, date, etc....... call if what you want, but his first with a real date.

Again.......................growing up too fast!!!!!!!!!!!

Horses

So where we live at one time was farm and horse country.  Most horse farms in our area are gone, but there is one very close that I pass on a regular basis, taking the "back road".  It's not very often that I pass by and the horses are all out and near the fence.  But............the other day, while driving by, they were out and I HAD to stop.  There was also another women who did the same.  They are beautiful creatures and one was quite friendly and curious about us and our cameras, so I just couldn't resist to post.  I might also add that I am very happy I stopped because an hour later when I returned home, the horses were not out.

Sweet 16

So today, after sitting through 2 very cold baseball games (#5 and husband had to play 2 more, I went home), I came home to take some photos of Gizmo.  You've met her before, #5's best friend, her mom is one of my best friends, and she is "the daughter I never had".  She even calls my parents Nana and Papa and they love it as they have no grandaughters.

Gizmo is turning "Sweet 16" on Halloween.  She is a "Boo Baby".   She rarely had Halloween/birthday parties, but this year she wants a masquerade ball theme (NOT a costume/Halloween party), so I took these photos and made her invite for the party.  She is so beautiful and like #5 growing up way too fast in front of me.

I just couldn't resist posting.
