Home Goods Store

So I think my new hobby of going to stores to take photos may turn out to be better for me than I thought.  Today I went to Home Goods, DSW and Barnes and Noble to take photos.  And guess what, I DID NOT BUY anything.  What a great way to create and not spend at the the same time.  Here are some Home Goods photos.  I will post the DSW and Barnes and Noble in another post.  Shoes are great subjects to photograph

Quote

Haven't posted in a few days.  My family suffered a huge loss in the death of a wonderful cousin.  Still don't know what to do this those thoughts and feelings.   So to keep up with posting consistently, here is a new quote I found.

Another Field Trip

So, after yesterday's "field trip" to Target, today I went to the World Market Store to take more pics.  Really, what else did I have to do.  The store is full of some colorful things.  Looks like J created a monster!

Here are some of those pics:

Pedicure, Dinner & a "Photoshoot" at Target

This afternoon my friend J and I went for pedicures (she got a manicure too), and dinner at Chili's.  That in of itself was a wonderful evening.  The other day J said to bring my camera so after dinner we could go to Target to take pics.  I would have never thought Target would be such an inspiring place to take pictures.  J opened my eyes to the wonders and colors of the store.  We walked around and took pics of all different things and each other.  Doing the hula hoop was pretty fun.  I must admit, besides the Starbucks, that was the first time I've been in Target and didn't buy anything.

Here are some pics of our outing.  I felt like I was on a field trip, with a great teacher of course.  Thanks J for a great evening.

More Random Thoughts

A few more randoms thoughts from me:

First on my mind lately, the passing of a wonderful cousin, 61 years young and unexpected. She and her family are very special to me and mine.  They are more  like a grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin, friend, nieces and nephews, to me than many of my own family.  She will be missed very much.

Gald we've had some nicer weather lately, but hey it's Illinois (Chicago area) and it can be 70 one day and snow the the next.

Still wondering if I will be recalled next month.

Thankful and surprised my brother A (only brother) thought of me to call and say they were hiring at his office.  It is in Oak Brook Terrace.  I beleive I would have thought about it if I wasn't pretty  sure I was getting called back.  To tell you the truth I am very spoiled with driving to work and don't think I could have or wanted to make that drive (would have if needed, but don't want to).  As it is, if I do called back, I will have to drive (locally of course) out of the neighborhood.

Just was reminded #5's first high school game is today at 4:30.  No wonder he looked at me like I was crazy when I asked him why he was bringing his jersey today.  (I didn't have coffee yet!)  I better text him and say good luck, since I may not make it to the game.  By then it might be cold.

Looking forward to dinner and a pedicure tomorrow night with my friend J.  Much needed pedicure and time with a great friend.

That's it for now, bye bye!  Go Storm Baseball

Where I Create and Two More Pages

So, I've been spending alot of time in "my room" (where I create), and I decided that I needed a printer.  I was running up and down the stairs, with trusty flash drive in hand whenever I needed to print something.  So my husband bought himself a new all in-one-printer, fax, copier, for his office and I got his other one.  I was going to buy a cheap printer for myself, but we decided that this was the best way to go.  He got an updated one, which he needed, and I got a desperately needed one for myself.

I also purchased a computer desk, which I am NOT using for my computer or printer, but for my Cricut and, photo printer and other "stuff".  But I love it.  I think I CANNOT fit another thing in this room, but don't care.  It's mine and I love it.

And yes, I put it together  (and it's still standing).

This is what I did yesterday and today:

3 New Pages

In my efforts to creat more, here are three pages I did this weekend.  I am so hooked on the "pop art" feature (aka, like Andy Warhol paintings) that FotoFlexer (another really, cool,  free photo editor/creator on-line site) has, I did a two page layout with "pop art" photos of some of my favorite photos and things.  And yes, one photo is of my toes from last summer and one of "my local chickens".

Creative Block

I've been feeling a little creatively blocked lately.  Maybe it's the NOT so nice weather, or maybe it's because I haven't been taking too many photos these days.  Hopefully with #5's baseball season fast approaching that will change.  I've been wanting to do some scrapbooking and am finding no inspiration.  So that being said here are two pages I scrapped today.  I ususally don't like pictures of myself, and prefer to be behind the camera, so the pics I used where self portraits of me (ok partially me) and pics of my camera.
