Family

Went to cousin P's for a party for his girls on Sunday. His sisters were there too, C & F, as was cousin L. F came from Rhode Island. It was fun to see them. We were all very close and then "Life" happened and we don't get to see each other that often. P is the one that introduced me to my husband. Sometimes I don't know if I should love him or hate him for that. HA HA Just kidding! Love him and miss hanging out with him like we used to.

Two girls in front are C and F, P's sisters, and L is the one with the dark hair. There were still a few of us missing. Don't think all 12 of us have been together for a long time.

Friends Daughter

Day 8

Was another crazy Friday. Spent all day with registration materials and money. HATE that part of the job. Went to get my bff's daughter early for her at school. It is her middle school graduation tonight and she was getting her hair done early. Borrowed M my camera, can't wait to see the pics. Alot of my friends have girls, so it's exciting to get involved with them when I can. I will post her pic, when I get the camera back from her mom (M).

Day 9

Today is finally Thursday. Thought it was Thursday all week. Felt pretty productive today. Hope it continues.

Last evening we went to HOBO to look at cabinets, counters and tile for the kitchen. Trying to get the husband to get the project in the works. I'm tired of overthinking and planning and say, let's just make a decision and do it. These pics are of the cabinet, tile and quartz counter we are looking at. What do you think? I'd love to hear.

Day 10

Wednesday, really?????? Keep thinking everying day has been Thursday for some reason. I guess I'm just hoping that the next day is going to be Friday.

Things are winding down and just don't know what to expect. Thinking I should be way more nervous about getting things done than I am. Hope it doesn't hit hard.

Day 14

Crazy, crazy, crazy day is all I can say. It really felt like a Friday. It ended nicely with a small get together for a friend, CC, who is getting married soon. Had some good food, drinks, good friends and alot of fun.

Then........came home to find this duck sitting on the edge of my friend's pool. Just wondering if he was guarding the momma and babies, or contemplating jumping in.

Day 15

Hump day, huh? Today should have been called, "leave me alone day".

That's all I'll say. Actually I wrote quite a lot and somehow lost it, so this is it.

Day 16

Today was N day in our school count down. It ws NR day and "be nice" day. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...........shouldn't every day be "be nice" day.

Day 17

Well here we are another Monday......but I only have two more Mondays left to work at NR (Memorial Day doesn't count). What do I think about that? Hmmmmmmm........Worried I won't get everything done......worried I am going to cry my eyes out when I say goodbye to my favorite students(getting teary-eyed just thinking about it now).........worried I won't stay in touch with all the wonderful (what I feel are) friends I have made........just plain worried about what will be next in my life.

What am I not worried about.......that something positive will come of this.......the true friends I do have will always be there........my family.......and that something new in a career will happen.

Day 19

Nothing exciting again today. Almost a little creepy, it's been quiet. Nothing to complain about. I won't say normal, but I guess normal for us at NR. I guess I'm just waiting for it all to break out. Figured today, that my last day at NR won't be so bad, but the last day the kids are there will be.
Wait..........something exciting did happen. #5's game was rained out and had no practice and I actually made dinner and we ate before 8:00. Now that's exciting.

Day 21

Today is my day 21, the student's day 18. Still can't believe it's almost over. I actually can't believe that I made it through this school year. Though, it's not over yet and it's not getting any better. It's getting to be crazy crunch time, with too much to do and not enough to time to do it all. Today I felt like I was going in circles.
Today's pics are me in my new classes. What do you think? I like them I just don't ever go out in public with my glasses on. Maybe I'm too vain, (or maybe "I just think this song/blog is about me", wait it is all about me!!!!!) but I'm going to wear them out one day, I promise. They're really cute (you can't tell, but they are blue on the sides with brown and black) and I should just think of them as jewelry for my face.

Day 22

BABY FEET & HANDS!!!!!! Gotta love them.

Today Ms. P's baby, little G came to school and I got to hang out with him for a little while. These are his little chubby foot and hand and him working on my computer. He might actually have gotten more done today than I did.

Day 23

Bad part of day, found out my mother is not keeping her puppy. I don't know I how I really feel about this. We were all getting attached to him and not sure what really happened to make her not want him. I know we couldn't keep him and I'm sure she knows that too and that's why she didn't even ask if I wanted him, but I am still upset. I just hope they get someone soon because it makes me sad and I don't want to see him knowing she is getting rid of him.

Day 24

Thursday, which was like Friday for the kids at school, because they get the day off, but I have to work. Maybe I'll actually get some "real" work done tomorrow.

Some days it is hard to come up with something to put on here. I guess some days are more exciting than others.

Picked up my car from the dealership after an oil change and recall. So that's my pic for today. I LOVE MY VOLKSWAGEN!!!!!!!

ADD ON PIC SINCE I WROTE THIS. I went outside (twice) first time #5 and A from across the street were playing catch. There was a first grader from school using #5's first glove (that ususaly hangs on the wall) and they were both teaching him how to take ground balls. #5 is going to make a great coach some day (just like his dad). Second time I went out was to take a pic of the front of the house for something and #5 jumjped up right as I took one.

Day 26

Pretty quiet Tuesday. The exciting thing is the second graders chicks are starting to hatch, and we all know how I feel about the chickens.

Today's pics are of the first chick hatched in Ms. W's class. The others are not chickens, but cows by the farm. I think it is great to live in the suburbs and have a farm practically in our back yard.

Day 27

Monday, here you are again. Always coming too fast. Had a productive weekend and the day was ok.

After school J and I were going for predicures and we talked P (co-worker) into going with us. It took some coaxing, but she came. She had never had a pedicure and I think she really enjoyed it. I am really glad she came with us.

Here are some pictures of my feet in the grass and our toes. I'm blue (with baseball on one toe, can't really see it), J is green with flower and P is the more emerald green.

This Weekend

Finally got motivated to start scrapbooking #5's photos from last year's baseball season. Once I get going, then I don't want to stop. These are the few pages I've done so far. He just informed me now that for summer league (Team Illinois), he could not get #5. One jersey was too small and one was too big. He will still be "my #5" when referring to him, even though he will be #26 this summer.

Day 28

What can I say about today. It was Friday, weekend is next. I love when people say have a great weekend. I tell them any weekend is a great weekend, it's the weekend. It was also another Friday without MC and SL. They only came for 15 minutes and went back to their meeting. Of course it was the most hectic 15 minutes of the day.

Saturday is National Scrapbooking Day and am hoping to get started on LAST YEARS baseball season before this years' gets going and then there is no time. High school is pretty mild, but once that is over it gets crazy with our travel team. Can't wait though, that's where we see some great playing from our boys (and great coaching too!)

Today's picture is our bucket of baseballs that is out all the time with the net. #5 hits the entire bucket when he hits in the garage and won't come in till all (I think) 64 are hit. Wish he had that drive about school work!!!!!
