Have to Brag
#5 had a GREAT game today. He caught the entire 1st game and went FOUR for FOUR! Awesome job son, I'm very proud of you. Your grandpa W was there and he was proud too. Like you said, he got his wish; left handed batter playing catcher. Maybe becoming the catcher was a good thing after all.

Lilly & Otis
Yesterday as I opened the garage door to get the newspaper, there were Lilly and Otis, the ducks. As soon as Lilly saw me she started coming right toward me. She wasn't mad or trying to chase me away, she seemed to want to follow me. Otis was right behind her. I had to run into the garage and close the door fast because they were headed that way. Of course I didn't have my camera so immediately went in and got it and took some pics and video of them. Still trying to figure out where they have eggs. Would love to see some baby ducks.

Baby Celebration
Had a small get together at Chili's for a friend expecting baby in June. Here's just a few pics. Made a pact with bff, M, that I would not post any pics of her. And after seeing them of the two of us I'm with her (although I think she looked good, but not me). When did I get so old? I always seem to think I look perfectly fine when I walk out the door, then see myself in a pic or a mirror and think "that CAN'T be me". And to top it off, at first it was me and J at Chili's, we both ordered a drink, the waiter carded her and not me. :( this is my sad face!
So here are the the pics, minus me and M:

#5 (Pic)
Not much going on these days, with nothing to post so here is #5's high school baseball pic. I really like this year's. The weather has been so bad, they haven't played in a week. I'll be scraping this pic soon, so I'll share that page when I do.

"Linda Binder"
Yeah, that's me. But I know it's a common name. When I was single and had a very looooooong Italian last name no one could say, let alone spell it, I couldn't wait to get married and get a nice easy name that everyone could pronounce. When I was little my cousins called me Linda Binda. Then after I got married it came off of people as Linder Binder. I now wish I had the long name back. It is me, the original me, (not that I don't like being married and being a Binder, I do) and unique and makes be proud of being Italian. When you meet someone with that name you know you are related. And if someone could say it, you know they know someone in your family.
Ok I'm wandering, so the reason for this post is that I've been getting a view people landing on my blog from other countries. Now we all know who my FEW but FAITHFUL followers are, so this made me courious. So I Googled my name and found out that their is a professional violinist from South Africa with my name.
Sorry to those of you searching for her and getting me, but it is exciting to see those locations and international flags on my visitors list.

"Catching"
Ok, more about #5. You all know he is a second baseman/infielder, by first choice. He's already, this season, played second base, short stop and third base. But..........the other day he called and asked us to bring his catcher's mitt. Apparaently the regular catcher told the coach that "he didn't want to catch anymore". So low and behold he didn't have to (this is the same kid that has known the coach since he was 2 years old and apparently can make those decisions and STILL get to be in the game). Funny thing is, he got to play second base too. No sarcaism there.
Anyway, back to #5. This particular game #5 was TOLD he would have to catch, but he WOULD NOT get to hit. Hmmmm?? And #5, being #5, said ok (cuz he knows that you don't say no). I guess he is now the new catcher. He caught yesterday and got to hit (1 for 2, of course he gets on base after I leave, I must make him nervous and of course I can never get the pics I want). He worked his butt off, did a great job amd I am very proud of him. When asked if he likes playing that postion he say, it's ok, at least I get to play. And play he did.

Weekend Things
This weekend the weather was GREAT! Of course #5 did NOT have a game. They only seem to play when it's cold and windy. Oh well, he got to enjoy the nice weather hanging out with friends, shooting hoops, hitting, etc.
I had planned a Longaberger open house for Friday. April is always the big 20% off pottery sale. Invited everyone I knew. Some said they were coming (but forgot), some said maybe (which I don't like that, cuz that almost says, I don't want to come, but will not actually have to say no, or if something better comes along, I won't be there), but..........what really upsets me is people that didn't respond at all. I don't care if you don't want to come or buy, just have some manners and respect. I NEVER push it on my friends and only do this once or twice a year, so it's not like they can say I throw it down their throats. So as you can tell no one came. One of my best friends came over to hang out with me. She has more pottery than I so I knew she didn't need any, but she still came over. I also chatted with another friend and she made me feel batter, she's so sweet, thanks KS). Oh well, live and learn. Done b*#@hing, I'll move on now, but remember it's my blog and I can cry if I want to.

This pic is "brother". If you don't know, brother came about in Fl this past summer. We were there for a baseball tournament and #5 didn't want to hang out with his parents. We went to Busch Gardens and got brother (cuz #5 says the gorillas are his brothers) and brother came EVERYWHERE with us and did EVERYTHING. So brother was my only open house guest.
It was such nice weather though, I did take some pics
Wam weather means..........barefoot baby feet and moms in flip flops
Husband measuring for the batting cage. Time for the swing set to come down. So sad.
Ducks in friends pool. They come back every year.
Mama duck (think other neighbor named her Lilly)
Lilly basking in the sun
Papa duck finally showed up
My toes in flip flops (ok, I went back to DSW and bought the pink Nike ones, along with another pair of shoes, but not the Jeep ones)
#5 shooting hoops

New Page
Most of you know that I LOVE to create things. Mostly with paper. I am a scrapbooker and have always loved to do parties. I've been doing parties, invites, favors, slideshows for friends and family for quite some time and of course everyone says I should have a business. So with that being said, I have started making things, such as: invites, party favors, etc. Please go to the link under "Pages" that says "Projects" if you would like to see some of the things I've made, or click on the button that says "I make things". If you would like some made, just let me know. The ideas and themes are limitless.

Things I've Made This Weekend
I've been making party favors and a baby shower invite. Thought I'd share. I won't tell for who and what I will be using these, but here they are. They can both be made with any shape, design or theme.

These are baskets I'm going to put candy in.
They can be made with any shape. And there's my Cricut I used to cut out the baskets.

"Storm Baseball"
#5's high school baseball team (they are the "Storm") are currently 6 and 1. Way to go sophomore Storm. He's had some good play time. Does awesome in the field, no matter what position the coach puts him in. He's played 2nd base (his position), short stop and third base. Great team player, always in the game, first one out on the field, only one calling plays. Exactly what my husband says he should be doing. His hitting needs to get a little better, but he is always working at it (he's in the garage hitting right now). The more he stresses about it, the harder it gets. He tries too hard!
I made it to today's second game (he only played in game 2, so that was good). I didn't think the weather was too bad. A bit breezy, but mostly sunny. Still waiting for warmer weather to committ to an entire game let alone a double header.
Here are a few pics:

love this pic even though he didn't pick the runner off, he saved the ball from going in the outfield
(can't believe I caught him in mid-air, ok for #5 it's mid-air. I should say with both feet off the ground)
He made the throw to 1st for the out
it was a great day if you were a hawk
